I mentioned that I was going to try something different. I was thinking about how best to show certain blogs. The thing is I love learning and reading things from different points of view and because my blog seems to blend different things together, so for example I have food blogs, mental health blogs, disability blogs, exercising blogs, losing weight blogs, writing blogs, poetry blogs all following me, which I love and while I do lump people in to general groups (I know I know I shouldn’t) people do tend to blog about different things, which gives you a different view. And I love it
I don’t know whether it is presumptious of me, I am not a well known blogger and yes maybe hitting 300 followers has made my head swell, but then there is not really a right way of blogging, that I can see, everyone has their own ways of doing things and I love reading new blogs and new posts from everyone.
What I thought I would do is every so often is do a link to blogs that I follow for certain things. Like today I am going to do a kind of travel blog, where people mainly write about their countries and customs and also those who do travel.
So here we go, in no particular order
http://gamintraveler.com/ Travelling round Europe, in a very simple way
https://exploreamericawithkids.wordpress.com/ Its kind of in the title
http://foodiethailand.com/ I suppose this could come under a food blog, but mouth watering thai food and you learn about the culture
https://intefangordetdet.wordpress.com/ again could be classed as many things, but I have put it in this section
http://midwesternplants.org/ learn all about the midwest of the USA
https://myheartofmexico.wordpress.com/ All about Mexico
http://notesfromtheuk.com/ All about the odd corners of the UK
https://bjaybrooks.wordpress.com/ A bit of a travel blog
https://milliethom.wordpress.com/ Maybe more a history blog, but we met when I realised she was holidaying in Malta, which holds a special place in my heart.
So there we go. I am so sorry if I have missed you, if I have please please please link your blog and I will slap myself on the hand and add you straight away.
Also tell me what you think about this idea. I am so nervous doing this its silly
I think it’s a great idea to link to other blogs – quite a few other bloggers do this, too. I do quite a lot of travel blogs (and generally do include history in them :D). I’m getting another Malta post ready right now, though I won’t post it until tomorrow. Thank you for including me in your ‘Shout Out’! 🙂

You are most welcome and I am now looking forward to the Malta post.
I have seen it done on other blogs and have enjoyed going through them, and as I noticed there was no firm rule, I thought I would put my own spin on it. Thank you for the reasurrance though x

I’ll be waiting to see how you do it, too. it should be good for your blog, I think. You have a good sized following, so hopefully it will go down well.

I have noticed that I have new people come over to visit me. If its good for me than great, but I have been lucky on my blog, so its nice to give something back to the wordpress community

Yes, it is a great community to be part of. There are so many lovely people out there and reading other people’s thoughts and sharing views can be very therapeutic.

I find that if I am struggling with ideas, reading a few posts always helps

You do a lot more posts than I do, so you need plenty of ideas. Don’t you fancy any of the challenges? They give you lots of extra posts. I do very few posts, so I don’t need to look for ideas. I’ve got enough lined up to keep me going for months. You seem to be doing really well, anyway. 😀

Thank you. I actually have found that I blog on the basic four subjects, and with my son being at nursery 3 hours every day, its given me more time,

It’s good to find your niche on the blogosphere. If you keep to those four areas you’ll perhaps find each one attracts different kinds of followers, who will look out for your posts. And while you have a little time each day, it’s good to make use of it productively. I wish I had more time to blog, but I have to fit my writing in (at least, I try to. I’m very behind with it right now).

It is tough to try and fit it all in, but three hours a day of free time is a lot of time is a lot as long as I am strict

You do seem to manage a lot of posts a day, so you must work quickly. Most of my posts are quite long, and take time to put together. Even one a day is too much fo me. I might feel differently once I finish this book, and do more posts for a while. I’m also going to get back to my knitting. I’m having withdrawal symptoms for that right now. In your scase, enjoy doing your blog while you can.

I do four posts a day, they probably seem quick cause I schedule them all in the evenings, I should spread them out.
Also mine are more personal,so I can write what is going on in my head whereas yours take time to research and beautiful photos,
Good luck on the book, and the knitting :).

I’ve just talked about posts in the last comment. I should have waited to check this one out.:D Thank you for your best wishes about my book. It’s just that I’m getting panicky now because several reviewers of Book 2 have asked when the third will be ready! I really do have to get my skates on! 🙂 Talk again soon. Millie

That is such a great idea! I was thinking of doing something different, yet similar at some point in the future.

Thank you, I think alot of people search using tags, so might already be following a lot of these, but then when you start mixing it up, so someone who is mainly photography but photos nature, put them in both and they might get discovered by a whole new set of people
