Also did archery and horse riding. I wanted to be a knight 😉

Lol, I’ve done fencing too (for 6 years) and wanted to be a knight when I was a child. Did horseriding too. What a coincidence.

Many congratulations on the award, I’m impressed that you can fence! That’s something I would have loved to do when I was younger. As for having a child ‘out of welock’, there’s no stigma attached to that nowadays – at least, in most circles. I realise things are different in the catholic community. 🙂

I also took up archery and horse riding. I wanted to be a knight when I was younger or Robin hood, thinking about it.
And thank you

That’s a great ambition (either one) and at least you made the effort to get there! Well done. Horse riding I’ve done a lot of, but you leave me standing with the other two. 🙂

I would love to take them up again. But with the exception of skiing I think I picked three out of the four most expensive sports
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, that’s very true. My parents struggld to let me and my sister have riding lessons – and they were a lot cheaper back then, even if we take the difference in wages into consideration. I’ve never been skiing in my life, but I can imagine how expensive the other sports are, too. Perhaps we should all stick to walking – or riding a bike! 🙂

Skiing is silly, not only do you have to pay for the holiday, the flights and all that sort of thing, then you get to pay for the ski equpiment which as a basic are skis, poles, suit, gloves, hat, googles, glasses and boots. Unless you have your own in which case you have to pay to transport, plus the ski pass. I loved it, but there is no way I can afford to do it. I like riding a bike 🙂

Totally agree about all that ridiculous cost. It really is one of those sports for the rich (as horse riding has become, though not as much as skiing). Bikes are good. :0

The New Forest is a beautiful area, so riding in there must have been fantastic. Happy memories, though. 🙂
