Your input required, please

I have a favour to ask, if you don’t know I do a thing where I share links to other blogs, ย This here is the latest one, I do this just to share back to a community that has been kind to me, and I know it works because I see the clicks.

However yesterday I shared some other blogs (you can read that here) but on this one I went and told those bloggers I had mentioned them, where as on my links I don’t.

So my question is, would you prefer to be told if someone was highlighting your blog? My links get published once a day for a week at different times, to make sure different people who blog at different times, and those that are in different countries will see it.

Hopefully that makes sense. I can’t make my mind up on it

  1. If it’s not too much trouble, I think it’s nice if you mention to the person you are highlighting their blog. Sometimes people will forget to check and it sort of helps boost self-esteem that someone took the time to comment on you, I know this doesn’t apply to me but that’s what I would want.

  2. If my blog is linked [and please feel free to do so! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ], I’d *love* to know about it! Just a comment anywhere on my blog letting me know about the link or through the contact form. I’d want to know who to thank for linking me and introducing my blog to others who may not have found it on their own. I think this is a great thing that you do!

I agree with the above too. It would make me feel special, like you took enough time to reach out to me too. You are a sweetheart for doing this!

  4. I agree as well, it shows that you are thinking about them and taking the time out to talk to them even though you are by linking their blogs. But even though that doesn’t apply to me that is what I would really want

  5. Yeah, I’m with Jess – it’s nice to be told – it’s not important but just nice – maybe a boost to one’s self esteem. Like you I’m often not really sure of the etiquette around blogging, so asking a question is a good idea. Regardless of what you choose – I’m going to keep supporting you and your blog ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi, I can’t speak for anyone else, but I would certainly like to be told. It would be an honor, and I would love to know.

I think a little message would be nice, just to let the person know.
