The last couple of days the anxiety has been bad, to the point that it successfully achieved me not taking the dog for a walk.
It has really hit me hard this time and with anxiety it brings its old friend depression. I am on the edge but it feels different this time, I am not sure how to describe it, but its like I can control it.
Just a shame I cant seem to do that with the anxiety
I’m glad you feel in control of the depression. I hope the anxiety will soon disappear! Sending you lots of hugs!

Thank you so much and so do I, I hate this feeling of not being able to do normal things like leave the house

I understand that feeling, to some extent, in relation to the depression, at least… and often have to be forced to leave the house – though admittedly I have no idea how much more the anxiety compounds such feelings, though I imagine it’s a lot. 😦

Its a vicious circle, you are depressed because you can’t go out and you are anxious which makes the depression worse. It goes round,

Well I hope this is a short go ’round for you!

As long as I keep the depression at bay I am hoping to concentrate on getting rid of the anxiety

Even if all you can do for a bit is reduce the anxiety to a manageable level, that’s still awesome progress! Don’t forget to celebrate it!

I very much have experienced the same thing and know the feeling! Lately I’ve not had my depression around, but I sleep 16 hours a day because I don’t have the energy to do anything else but that and work. I helps having a commitment I find, but if you can’t show up to that commitment it makes it all worse.
Stay strong, you will be on the other side soon and then it will all feel much better!

Thank you so much for your comment. I have a 3 year old and so am forced to get up on a daily basis, but it leaves me exhausted

The fact that you do get up says something about your strength though, don’t forget that.
