The news is that on the 23rd June, the UK will have a referendum on whether or not to stay in the EU, I don’t think I have ever been split so much on a government issue then whether or not to stay in the EU.
However I am going to do a stack load of research, because it is important we all vote of this, it is a historical change and while I am guessing those who say we need to leave and then get a deal more like Switzerland, its not going to happen, Switzerland have been their from the beggining and were smart to start off with.
This who say we need to stay are going to sprout off how people may lose their jobs, we don’t know the implications of leaving. Well we don’t know the implications of staying either. The fact that the conservatives are split down the middle does not make me feel confidence of either descision
It’s a big issue, because unlike an election, it’s a vote where any decision is very likely to be final. I don’t think you can do any more than read up what you can about the issue and try to make an informed decision about it. I wish everybody in democracies took their vote as seriously.

I think the thing that will stick with me is how many people wont vote will be have an opinion on how it should of gone and that will frustrate me more than that actual vote

I completely agree with you. If people don’t vote when they have the opportunity, they’re really not in a very strong position to complain about the result.

I personally think it should be made law to vote, then there is no excuse

The ramifications are huge either way

This is not a win / lose choice. More like the lesser of twwo evils.

So true, but trying to figure out which one is the lesser one, is proving difficult

I spent a good portion of last night trying to figure it out. I am still very confused and I like to consider myself intelligent

I wonder sometimes if the government really understands the full ramifications

Judging from the mud slinging that goes on and has just started I doubt it

If the decision isn’t going to be made until December there is time to look at both sides.

I thought it was the 23rd June, which while still a distant away, is not enough time to beat down the details

One thing for sure, this will strongly affect the expats that are living & working outside the UK. And I believe there are more UK expats than any other group in the world.
I wish you all luck on this very tough decision. 🔮🎍🎏🎑
Peace, love & the right to live in a country other than the one you were born in,

I agree it is going to be tough and yes it will effect those who have chosen to live outside the UK. I do worry about the effect it is going to have on trade relations
