Its Easter holidays and the school has broken up, 3 weeks with my son.
Don’t get me wrong I love my son and he loves me, but he loves school even more.
The last 2 days, mummy am I going into school today. Followed by strop, followed by going out to the park, baking, building, playing. Followed by another strop because he is not going into school. Followed by a nap, followed by another strop that he is not going into school tomorrow.
I am thrilled he loves his school, but come on. 3 weeks of this
well 2 weeks 5 days not that I am counting 😉
Mine starts tomorrow 😄

IS there some kind of kids camp in town…in the town I came from they did kids workshops during the holidays…of course you had to pay but its an outlet for the kids….just a thought…when my kids were young, the family all took time sharing kids over the holidays…LOL it was fun to have 9 boys under 12 for a week…we planned it out and had a ball…then we would have the rest of the time to ourselves…and the boys got in some real quality time with cousins and Aunts and Uncles….kat

There is but due to vet bills, we are having to save the money. The only thing we have kept is a day out for his birthday. But there is plenty of free things to do out and about

I can absolutely guarantee you that huffiness because I wasn’t able to go to school was not a problem my mother ever had.

I think once he goes to proper school, I wont get this, but at the moment boy do I miss his school

If he’s anything like I was as a child, starting mathematics classes will cure him of ever being desperate to get back to school.

LOL I think with him it will be English

Perhaps he likes school because of his friends and/or playmates 🙂 my son is the same but he is always fine being with me for the holidays as we both love to travel.

We had our plans wrecked for the Easter holidays, due to an unexpected expense, but we have found other things to do, splashing in puddles at the moment

It is definitely a struggle

He has calmed down now, but we still have those moments. It hasn’t helped that his best friend has gone away

Aw, so he must be feeling a little bit lonely

A little bit, all his other friends live further away, his best friend literally lives about 5 doors down

That’s annoying! That’s brilliant, ideal to have a friend quite close

She is from an Irish family (I am in England) and Easter is a big thing for them, so they went back home.

It is, they rarely go back (3 children under 5) so its an exciting time when they do, although I feel for the mum, she was starting to pack about the week before

That’s lovely but must be really busy!

3 weeks *sigh* He was only at school for four weeks between holidays. This is going to be a long term though, the weather has been shite here, which has made it that much harder

I bet not being able to get outside must make it rough. If you can get to a park your little guy can play and tire himself out. I loved playing in the park with my son when he was little.

We managed to do puddle splashing a few times. And we had two or three good days where it was sunny. But the weather can not make its mind up at the moment. Well its snowing in the North of England apparently, while we had lovely sunshine down in the South

Puddle splashing is good, and playing in the rain if it’s warm enough. Is’t that nuts we had snow here a couple days ago. It’s April for gosh sakes! lol
