Might want to put on your tinfoil helmets for this one

In the UK Prince Harry 5th in line for the throne (soon to be 6th) has announced his engagement to someone who I have never heard of, but am reliably informed that she is an actress in a show I might have heard of.

I am so not down with the kids.

Anyway great news for everyone, especially the government, I read once in a history book that when the “common” people were starting to get disgusted with the government to the point of starting to do more than protest. Or in this day and age tweet or post on facebook, suddenly a war would be announced or a royal wedding, so that we the British forget all about why we are hating the government and either celebrate or have enough of us killed off that we are too busy to protest.

I know it sounds weird and maybe it really does go down in conspiracy theory land. However since about 1890, its what has happened and I include in that Prince William’s wedding, the birth of his son and now just as the whole Brexit is falling apart, they were really struggling to think starting a world war with either the leaders of Russia, North Korea or the USA might actually finish us off, the drag up Prince Harry and tell him its is royal duty to announce his engagement.

Boom, the whole of Britain forgets about what is going on in politics and we are all about the royal wedding. Will we get the day off? Even those people who think we should get rid of the royals, get involved in this, with their maybe, when they say how much it is costing the British public, we can finally get rid of them.

Or, I am about as thrilled as I normally am when 2 random people announce their engagement.

If you are British, have a bit of look through history probably starting from the Victorian era and see what you think

I tend to think this happens here, too. I’ve noticed the unimportant distractions that make big news, while behind the scenes, something awful is brewing.

  3. You made me remember the Noam Chomsky’s Noam Chomsky – “10 strategies of manipulation” by the media.

    1) The strategy of distraction

The primary element of social control is the strategy of distraction which is to divert public attention from important issues and changes determined by the political and economic elites, by the technique of flood or flooding continuous distractions and insignificant information. distraction strategy is also essential to prevent the public interest in the essential knowledge in the area of the science, economics, psychology, neurobiology and cybernetics. “Maintaining public attention diverted away from the real social problems, captivated by matters of no real importance. Keep the public busy, busy, busy, no time to think, back to farm and other animals (quote from text Silent Weapons for Quiet War ).”

  4. Sometimes I think Americans are more into the royal family than the British. Jealousy I imagine.
