Things my son says

At around 11pm I hear my partner moving about upstairs and think, that doesn’t sound like him.
Me: “Monkey”
Monkey: Yes mummy
Me: What you doing up?
Monkey: I a doing lego science, my boat floats
Me: But lego shouldn’t really float
Monkey: No mummy, I took the properlor off and reblanced the end and it now floats
Me: Monkey go to bed
Monkey *as he walks up the stairs* I made it float, floaty, float, float

Hear monkey yell, “wow thats amazing, brilliant”

Thinking maybe fireworks are going off, I yell if he is alright, turns out he was talking about a Santa Sleigh he had just made himself. I am impressed how modest he is

Monkey wants more lego, I am being very mean by not buying him any more, so he has come up with some ideas.

1. Sell some of his billions of toys that he no longer plays with
2. Ask people to donate to charity the spendonmonkey fund

Monkey: How clever am I Mummy?
Me: Very clever
Monkey: I know I am mummy

You can’t deny the kid has my ego
