I think most parents want to give their child everything in the world, most of us have to do the best we can, making sure they have a roof over their head, electric, gas, food on the table and the odd toy, that sort of thing.

If I could I would buy my son a house and every lego set ever. I would need the new house to put them in all.

We have a problem though, my partner works in a toy shop, on the occassion we pick him up, its not just waiting outside, we have to go in and look at the lego sets and my son will tell me which ones he wants. Which is why we rarely pick my partner up.

It does come with some perks, but some downfalls, for example when he does the price changes, he knows which ones are going down first and they have some good deals. Both of us want to spoil our son and the tempatation to buy him things and not only get them but get them at a good deal is strong. However monkey has a lot of toys and we are on a strict budget, which doesn’t involve buying lots of toys.

Also, we have made a decision that no new toys are coming into the house till some toys have gone out. But boy is it tough.

Oh I can imagine this is hard. Bless they only see what they want and budget isn’t in their vocabulary.

  2. It’s not a bad lesson to teach him he can’t have everything he wants when he wants it. 😃
