What do you think?

As I sit here trying to avoid doing more lego, I got to wondering. I wonder what people think I look like.

I find when I read someone’s blog I build a picture up of what they look and sound like. If you don’t have a photo up or even your name, I have probably given you a name, plus have an image of what you look and sound like in my head.

Obviously a photo, a first name and a video of you talking makes this image a lot more accurate, but for obvious reasons some people want to stay private, while others are happy to be out there.

I have a couple of photos of me on here, one I am fairly sure I have a blue face, so it does make it more difficult. But let me ask you, do you have an image of what I look or sound like.

You tell me yours and I will tell you mine

I do the same… I have a blurry mental picture of most of the bloggers I follow closely. Nothing clear, but I still make characters in my mind.

    Alright, I’ll play 😋

I’m thinking a lovely brunette with the perpetually harried expression of mothers with small children everywhere. Somewhere around 5’4″, wearing practical clothes like leggings or jeans with T-shirts, though you’d rock a dress any day.
During the day I imagine you to sound upbeat and musical, like a blackbird explaining to the neighbors that “This is my shrubbery!”, when monkey is sleeping you drop to a soft mezzo soprano.

    Am I even close? 😄

    Your turn!

Brunette. Shorter hair, above shoulder length, but was long at one time. Not very tall, but not short. Smiling person, easy going. Relaxed, down-to-earth clothing.

I’ve never really thought about what you might look like. Your blogging style is personable. You write in what seems your authentic voice so I read your writing as if you are conversing. It’s very refreshing. I don’t think I’ve seen images you mentioned and I tend not to dig about looking and very busy at minute anyway, unable to concentrate on the things I should be doing and just distracting while i spotted you/your blog in my email notifications. There’s only I think one or two pics of me at my blog too. I shared them in posts when I realised most people in my learning groups showed their faces in their gravatar. I hadn’t wanted that but I wanted them to see the real me too if/when they visited those posts. So I can’t even start to guess about your appearance. So i won’t. I see ‘you’ as neat and cool and human, very well structured & organised and routine being important and well-kept. Happy Easter/Holidays to you and yours 🙂

Sometimes I try to picture the person I’m talking to on the blogs, but most of them already have their photo posted, or post occasional photos of themselves. Most times I forget you are British, unless you use a local type word. I think you like to wear comfortable clothes, because you get down on the floor to play with your son, (and organize the legos), and you walk the dog in all weather. I think I saw a photo of you once, only it was pretty shadowed, so to me you are taller than me, and have dark hair. Interesting to think about, and sometimes I get it totally wrong, and am so surprised if I do see or hear the person. Now, I know you see my photo all the time, but what else do you think? 🙂
