It has just turned Thursday here, this is our last day of having no money. Now when I saw money, I do mean actual cash to spend on something, we are fine for food, gas and electric.
However this has been an interesting experiment, it being can we survive on just what we have to be able to squeeze any more savings out of us.
The main thing being the gas and electric, also food in a way. We have managed to spend only £15 on both gas and electric. Although I wouldn’t do this during the winter months, we have just been more careful in turning things off, wrapping up a little warmer instead of maybe turning on the heating, just tiny little things that might save us a few pennies.
Also with food, I do a monthly shop, so we normally have food in the freezer, there has only been one occassion when this hasn’t happened and I don’t want to do it again.
But generally when we look in the freezer, we will look on rare occassions and think I really don’t want this and then go to the shops with a couple of pounds and buy something different. This week we have made sure that hasn’t happened, we have been very inventive with our food this week, making it different and unique. Hopefully this will continue for the rest of the month, maybe saving us between £60-£70 a month. This will mean we are now down to the bare bones and can cut nothing else further.
Wish us luck
Hang on! You’re a fighter!! *hugs*

Not finding anything interesting in the freezer happens to me too. I agree with the dressing warm, etc. Good luck!
