Moving house? Where to look

As it seems I am moving, I am looking, not very seriously at the moment, I must admit, because as it stands we don’t have a deposit or the first months rent or actually the leave to quit.

The thing is, with my anxiety and OCD I have been prepared for this for a good 2 years, I just didn’t think it would be so difficult with the council, but lets look past that. Generally I have been looking on right to move and this is my problem, I didn’t look anywhere else.

I have a few problems that I have to deal with, landlords, might not want pets, might not want a child and our biggest problem, they don’t want to deal with people on benefits.

There is actually nothing wrong with any of that,Β  as long as they also stick to the rules.

Right move don’t put on their site whether or not the landlords might accept or not accept certain things and I was finding this a pain in the arse and depressing that there is a high chance a lot of these properties wouldn’t even consider me, this afternoon I went onto a site of a local estate agent and christ was it a breathe of fresh air, the clearly state whether landlords would accept housing benefit, pets, children. It was lovely and suddenly the range of properties was wide open to me.

If I have a choice I don’t want to go through an estate agent they charge a fortune in charges for no apparent reason, hopefully the council will be able to signpost me to more landlords.

  1. Good luck in the hunt. This could actually turn out to be a good thing. Will Monkey have to change schools though?

This is the second post about moving I have seen today. Something about relocating in the air. I even have friends on Facebook selling their homes too.
