And on goes the fight

Just to give you an idea of how much the UK benefit system screws people over.

Last year, I had an overpayment on my child tax credits, within days, they had set the system up to start taking payments out of the child tax credits I was getting. It was literally that quick.

I rang around all the benefit people to let them know I had won PIP and if I was now entitled to anything extra (I know I am, but I was being nice) This is the timeline

14/1 Tribunal: Congratulations you have been awarded PIP
18/1 PIP: You have to wait till the 12th Feb
25/1 Council Office: You have to wait til the 1st Feb
25/1 Tax Credits: You have to wait till the 8th Feb

Also keep in mind, that the tribunal normally informs everyone, but nop some hadn’t been done, so I made sure I did it. That means on top of the 18 months I have at least another month and it is frustrating, if you can set up a system in 48 hours for me paying them back, surely they can set up a system in the same amount of time to pay me back.

Unless of course they just keep hoping I am going to go away, but if anyone believes that they are a bigger idiot than Teresa May thinking her deal is going to go through

Admit it, if everything went smoothly and as planned, you’d get terribly bored 😛

Similar here with the government shut down. The people making the decisions are not in touch with the day to day realities of regular people struggling to have enough money to buy food and housing. Time for a reality show to switch lives for a week! -R

Its always the way! They can take money from you quick as a flash but they don’t give it to you in the same way and time frame! 🙂
