Coincidence? I think not

Yesterday, I had a full blown massive rant, first thank you for all of your support on it. If you would like to read it, its here.

This morning I received a phone call from the DWP, now first (because it was my first thought) This is a scam, however she didn’t ask me any personal questions, just to confirm where my tribunal was and that my bank account details hadn’t changed. I managed to get her to tell me it which bank account she had on file, but no account details or anything where said. So I am fairly sure it was genuine.

Also, I go by lots of different names, she had my official one, that I only use for official things, so not social media, or any surveys I do. That is always a good sign, when I get a phonecall asking for Ms Trina, I know its a scam.

After a quick chat, she confirmed that they are putting my PIP through the system today, it will generate a payment which will hit my bank account within 5-7 working days.

This is great news, as it will hit me just before half term, when my partner is off and means for once, we can have a great half term doing fun (but still really cheap stuff) with Monkey.

I have also, mentally put a bit of money aside for us to do something together, in our case its go buy lego and have sushi. I honestly feel like after the last 6 months, we deserve a bit of a blow out. Although we are going to make sure a few debts are all paid off, we get some furniture in and tbh I might start asking you guys for some reviews on certain things, but I am going to wait for now and just take it in, that the DWP are not appealing, they are giving me my backpayment and as long as we are sensible in the future, we should have the majority of debts paid off in a few months and properly debt free before PIP runs out.

It still means, that we are going to tighten our belt, but this extra money a month is going to go just purely on the debts we have. We are managing on what we have coming in at the moment and while its not brilliant, I can put a bit aside for some fun days with monkey and my stepson and the rest can go pay off everything.

As for my idea of shitting all over the DWP, I still might do that because you know, 18 months vs 7 days is nothing in comparision.
