It was a productive weekend

Last week I spent Thursday and Friday procrastinating, which meant I hit Saturday with a shit ton of things to do.

Fortunately the weather was on my side as it rained on and off most of the day, meaning we couldn’t go to the park as planned. Giving me an extra couple of hours.

Also Monkey has found a new youtube channel which apparently is hilarious as he was laughing for most of it. That kept him occupied for a few hours. Also meaning I could watch what I wanted on the TV.

I managed to get everything done, plus make lunch, cook dinner, do all the washing up, washing, emails and still had time to play. I was however very focused on getting everything done, so that I could spend the whole of Sunday with Monkey doing whatever he wanted.

Apart from going to the park, see the deal is, he cleans his room and makes sure the lounge is free from single lego bricks, models are fine. He can play in the garden, he can play in the flat, in return we go to the park and he gets pocket money, but I am not taking him to the park if he is not going to clean (keep in mind he had the whole of Saturday to this has well.) It got to midday on Sunday and I reminded him, as I had done for the whole of Saturday and most of the morning.

The strop I got, maybe I am expecting too much from him, but at some point he is going to have to learn that sometimes we have to do jobs we don’t like to get to do loads of fun stuff.

As it is, next Saturday is going to be a right off as we have an all day adventure planned.

You aren’t asking too much from him! I think cleaning his room is a good job for him. It teaches him about taking care of his stuff. xo
