I completely forgot that on Monday’s Monkey has swimming lessons, so on Monday my day looks something like this.
Travel 2.3 miles to monkey’s school
Travel 2.3 miles back home
Sit and wonder why I didn’t know I had those muscles, which now hurt, before
Crack on with things
Go for a walk for half an hour to keep trying to improve my anxiety
Travel 2.3 miles to monkey’s school
Travel 2.3 miles back
Sit for half an hour swearing at the time of his swimming lesson and wondering if I go to sleep whether he will forget he has a swimming lesson (he won’t)
Travel 1.2 miles to swimming lesson
Sit for another half hour in a swimming pool crowded with people
Travel 1.2 miles back home
Spend the evening wondering if I will ever move again.
On the plus side, I only had 2 anxiety attacks.
That’s a lot of traveling in a day. I realized that I understood really well the distances you were talking about because you’re using “miles” not kilometers. Do tell : ) R

The UK is odd, we do distance in miles and everything else in whatever we fancy. Apart from athletics that is done in metres

Curious! I suppose it’s hard for a culture to get over saying a “pint” of beer.
