We would take a dramatic turn for the worse. We would be Socialist in a heartbeat, with no jobs. It would NOT be a good thing at all.

I am not sure we (in the UK) would, I think we could go more to the left but not so far

Here in the US, the youth of today are all convinced Socialism is the answer. Little do they know that it is NOT the kind and benevolent party they seem to think it is.

I think you are writing off your youth too soon

Not based on what I’ve see, but I hope I am wrong.

Most of them are smart and know full left isn’t the way, the same way full right isn’t the way, we need something in the middle, the main problem I think both our countries face is that we have gone right and (I personally think) too far right, my worry is, especially for the UK, they are going to vote left and the leader of our opposition would be a disaster, not the party itself but the actual leader

I agree, we need something in the middle, but we certainly don’t have that right now. The extreme Left really scares me. So does the extreme right, but not nearly as much.

Its a tough choice, on one side you have the start of concentration camps starting up and on the other you have poverty for 90% of people, either way on both extremes people are going to die

As we both have said, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. There are NO concentration camps though. The Left would like you to believe that, but there are not. We DO however, NEED to secure our southern borders. We CANNOT support all of Mexico, Central and South America, or as AOC says, the whole world. The US will be completely lost if we cannot secure our borders and just let anyone and everyone come in.

Sorry Jeanne, I should of been clearer that when I said concentration camps, I was think of Hitler and the rise of the Nazis, rather than the USA

Sometimes it is hard to tell because so many people are equating President Trump to Hitler and the Southern border crisis to concentration camps, neither of which are true. Survivors from the actual concentration camps have dared these people to come and actually talk to them, to see what really happened in the concentration camps, but so far, no one has accepted.

Completely get how you thought I might have been I did do a bit of a jump, although I think like all right winged people in power, it could turn into that, unless they are all controlled. It does worry me, that we are starting to go back to that, however I would like to think we will never get that bad again

In all honesty, the future is a scary place right now. Who knows what’s going to happen. Most of our options are not looking particularly good at the moment either.

I completely agree with you and I am really worried about the future, especially because there is so little I can do about it

I think that may just be the scariest part of all.

We’d be far better off! The younger population would bring down our current government, most our our young people are really into polotics now! xo

I think the only problem with it, is children often have a naive view of the world and that could be a disaster

Maybe, I know they keep talking about lowering the age limit to 16
