Well it went a wee bit wrong

When I picked Monkey up, he came out looking a bit sad and said mummy I couldn’t have my lunch today and he opened up his lunch box, which was full of mould, from what I could gather it was from an orange.

At that point his teacher came up to me and I had to explain to her that there was no way I sent in my son with a mouldy orange for lunch. I checked with her that he had eaten, they had given him a hot lunch but thank christ he had said something.

I asked him to pop back in and just double check that there wasn’t another lunch box anywhere that look liked his and he came out five minutes later swinging an identical lunch box, which contained his lunch.

Both of us had forgotten that before his Christmas break he had lost a lunch box and we replaced it with exactly the same one.

Other than that he really enjoyed his first day back and tomorrow he has swimming lessons and on Monday he starts Judo

All’s well that ends well. Glad he could have hot lunch and found the lost lunch box! If it were us I’d suppose the moldy lunch was left in the bag over break..: hee hee.
