An update

Having made the decision to step back from the whole of the internet, this is roughly how it all went.

Sunday night didn’t sleep at all, dropped Monkey off on Monday and curled up in bed and finally fell asleep, woke up at 2pm, did the housework and then went and and picked him up, for the first time we managed to do his spellings and homework in a very short amount of time.

Monday night I was exhausted for whatever reason, fell asleep at 11.30pm in bed, not on the sofa but actually in bed. Woke up at 1am, 2.30am 3.36am and then at 5am, when I decided to get up. Caught up on comments and emails.

Tuesday, was a busy day. I cleaned my hallway and the cupboards inside and out and then started on the lounge, we wanted to move things around to see if we could have more space I managed to get nearly 90% done before my partner got home. The lounge has been scrubbed within an inch of its life, underneath various bits of furniture I found enough lego to open my own store. But it does look better and it does look like we have more room. However by 6pm, I was starting to flag and still had to do reading with Monkey

I kept falling asleep in the evening, it went something like between 6.30 and 7.15, then 9 till 9.30, then 10.15 till 12.30am. However this was all on the sofa, but when I woke up at 12.30am I was wide a flipping wake, resigned myself to staying up all night, but it got to 3am and suddenly this wave came over me. I managed to get into bed before it disappeared and slept till 6.45am.

Wednesday, I did the hoovering, finished off the lounge and it looks amazing, but then in the evening the same thing started happening and I was asleep, managed to open my eyes, have a conversation and then back to sleep again. All on the sofa, managed to get to bed just after midnight though, although was still awake till 1.30am, when I eventually drifted off. woke up at 6am which is not too bad.

Today, I have swept and mopped the floors, taken the sofa covers off and washed them, hung them out to dry and even managed a walk this morning before making myself lunch.

Also over the last few days I have managed to keep up with my emails, so much so, if I hadn’t decided to rearrange the lounge I probably would have spent the last few days just sitting on my backside.

I am pleased my sleep seems to be sorting itself out, I honestly think the time I spent away from the internet as helped. This afternoon I am going to go back to sorting out Monkey’s lego, I know that it might seem an ongoing job, but it has been put on the backburner for the last month or so.

My only problem is not going to know what to do tomorrow, its meant to be paperwork day, but I don’t think I have much to catch up on, so it will probably be just sorting out lego.

I am not sure what my brain is going to decide this evening, so on the off chance I am going to keep falling asleep, I shall schedule the weekend share just incase.

  3. Brilliant, I’m glad that you managed to stay off social media and get some stuff done around the house. You seem to have done loads so no wonder you’re getting some serious zzzz’s in 🙂
