With the schools now being closed, I am going to have to home educate Monkey, considering how bad my spelling and grammar is, this should be amusing.
Apparently the schools are going to be sending work through online sources, they have very nicely sent out what the school day looks like, so I can keep to that routine and Monkey is going to lend me some Pokemon cards, so I can trade with him at break, which is something he does with his friends.
Then I got thinking, I think we can probably write this schooling year off, maybe they will be back after Easter, as its estimated that the peak will have hit, but then again maybe not.
So I am going to teach him the stuff that maybe the school might miss, such as
Cooking, I can show him all the amazing cooking blogs and he can pick what he wants to cook.
Geography, he can pick a blog and we can see where they are from and learn about that area, we can also look at some of the amazing photography blogs to see what other countries looks like
Politics, well I can do UK but I also have lots of bloggers who talk about their countries politics and I always find it useful knowing a little bit about other countries.
Budgeting, I have a few blogs who do things like this as well
Religion, yep got that covered.
History I have a few genology blogs, alright maybe specific history, but nearly all of them explain what was happening at the time.
Arts and crafts, not a problem
Now if someone of you want to step up to the plate to cover science that would be fantastic.
Good if your child listens and reads the blogs. 👍😊

What a great idea. Reading out loud to kids is also part of learning. My friend in the US, Jenny is a teacher and loves to read out loud so she has put together a few Youtubes of her reading. Maybe he will like to listen to them. https://jenniefitzkee.com/2020/03/18/when-life-gives-you-lemons-make-lemonade/ Monkey just might learn more in the next few weeks than he would have in a whole school year!

Kitten, when he was about 6 or 7, watched a Hairy Bikers episode on the telly, and started cooking! Just suggesting, in case Monkey isnt too taken with the idea of cooking. He’s learnt a lot of his cooking skills from YouTube and is very good at it!
How old is Monkey? Thinking of scence stuff to do….

Actually, striaght off the top of my head, one my lads loved: Get cotton Hanky or plastic bag, string and make a parachute for a soft toy. Throw said toy up in air…. May take a couple of goes to work, but you guys can have fun working it all out.
