Here in Spain things are slowly opening up. The mall near us opened on Monday and we were able to get hubby a much-needed pair of sandals. We can do a lot more now but we have to wear masks and often gloves, also still need to practice social distancing. The beaches are still closed though.

The US is still in the same spot, just south of Canada. And we are reopening despite the science saying it’s only getting better in places like New York, where it was catastrophic. Curious if these demonstrations and riots will cause a spike.

  4. Of course. It’s second fiddle now though. Idle threats while the country burns. What a time to be alive.

    • So if your country went into lockdown, so you couldn’t go out, if the government is easing up, or maybe you didn’t go into lockdown at all?

Oh like that! Yeah.. we went into lockdown on March 24. there were 4 extensions.. we called them lockdown 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0. Lockdown 5.0 started on June 1… They started a lil easing in lockdown 3 but the major easings have happened in lockdown 5.0 which everybody is calling “Unlock 1.0”

We are over 2.16 lakh cases in india now.. but i’m still not going out… two cases in my society.. we are officially in the containment zone but no sealing. the inter-state border are officially locked (in my state and the neighbouring one)but one of my friends travelled inter-state to shift her house. I don’t know what’s happening. One case at my office. we’ve been asked to work from home at least till mid november (that’s Diwali (a festival) date this year in India).
All I can say is I have been at home for 80+ days.

      • Depending on the rules, here people could move if they were due to, but strict process in place. Also students could go back home and then have to self quarenteen for 14 days

yeah, we’ve been allowed to move back home and the quarantine thing is there. the govt is running special trains for migrants n students. But there are way too many people who are living in other places.

No it’s not. It’s increasing in fact. That’s what worries me. India is in top 5 countries with max corona cases. We overtook Spain last night :/

      • I honestly thought it was dropping in Asia and Europe but rising in South America and Africa

it’s definitely not dropping in India. Our most affected state, Maharashtra, took over China’s count. A photo of people overcrowing a popular area in Maharashtra’s capital went viral recently. People were wearing face masks but they forgot social distancing :/
