If you were to change one rule/law in your country, what would it be?

That is a fascinating question. I think I would abolish the Electoral College.

  2. I agree with Joshua, this is a very interesting question. One that cannot be answered quickly. I’ve never lived anywhere but here in America, so I have nothing to compare to. Another thing is each state has the ability to write their own laws. But, If I had the ability I would probably get rid of laws prohibiting people from owning and carrying weapons. The idea that a citizen cannot protect themselves is scary. Also if you are licensed to carry you should be able to carry across state lines.

    • Would you put in common sense gun laws?

      • No I wouldn’t for two reasons.
I accept that the Second Amendment is a tricky point, and that people have been debating its verbage for some time. The way I read it is, every state has a right to keep a militia to protect it. That being the case. Every citizen of the state has a right to be a member of said militia in order to protect their home and family. So, every citizen should have the right to bear arms.
Realistically having any kind of “common sense” gun laws are unconstitutional according to the Second Amendment, and a criminal that wants to own a weapon is going to acquire a weapon no matter how you might try to regulate them.
The best way to prevent being shot is to have the ability to shoot back with the skill to hit what you are aiming at!!

      • Its an interesting view point, coming from the UK, where we have very strict gun control, I see no need for them, especially the machine gun ones, I don’t see why any human outside of the army needs one
