Thanks, Trina! We had a lovely Thanksgiving meal. Sides first – quinoa stuffing, sweet potatoes and gravy, as the 1/2 turkey continued to cook. Then turkey, and pumpkin pie for dessert. Thanks for hosting!

We had a quiet day here. I made my mom’s cranberry salad and a pumpkin pie on Wednesday. Mary got up Thursday morning and made the stuffing and put the turkey breasts we had in the oven to slow cook. Since our kids live in Santa Clarita, CA. (about 35 miles north-west of LA) we didn’t get to see them. Youngest (son) and middle daughter did say hello via ‘messenger’ but that was it for them. Oldest daughter was MIA?
Friday was a good day as I got to chat with my Skype friends and enjoy a few laughs. This has been a strange year all around relative to family contacts. We also have a grandson working in the Ft. Worth area, but he wasn’t able to join us either. With our Covid numbers going wild, it was just too risky to see him.
I hope y’all are having a good week end – at least as good as can be expected. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless. I’m thankful for all of you.

Hahaha…Have you ever seen the American TV show “Hee Haw”? It was a goofy country show, hillbilly type. There was a sketch they did with a song that went:
“Gloom, despair, and agony on me.
Deep dark depression
Excessive misery.
If it weren’t for bad luck
I’d have no luck at all
Gloom, despair and agony on me.
On the bright side, “the Lord giveth….”
Keep smiling my friend.
