Is your country still in lockdown or starting to open up? Or has it never shut down?

We are pretty much open in Louisiana except for fast food lobby’s. Masks are still mandated though. Fingers crossed that will go away soon.

My country (Texas) just decided to open up 100%! Even though cases haven’t gone down significantly. Mandatory mask rules have been thrown into chaos – some remain (federal mandated), some are a optional, businesses and schools can set their own policy, our governor is not the sharpest tack in the box. Way too soon IMHO. We were headed in the right direction, but now…no one knows if this will trigger another spike or not. Why take the chance? Make sure you have won the game before putting in the second string for a little playing time. If you open too soon, it may bite you in the ass.

Are they doing it in stages, or just going opening up, closing their eyes and hoping for the best?

Governor said everyone could go to 100% occupancy; mask policy was up to each business or other entity. Federal property (courts, post offices, military posts, etc.) Is still under current rules – masks mandatory, etc.
Most grocery stores in my area are keeping mask policies in place except for Albertsons – the one I go to. They are going to the ” do what you want – no one cares side of the road.
Total fuster cluck….

I’m in Texas too. 100% agree with you. Let the first string play a little longer …

North Carolina is open, but most businesses are restricted to limited capacity.

How about masks?

Masks are required unless you have an underlying condition.

Same as here in the UK, but we are only just starting to open up, kids are going back to school on Monday

Kids have been back to school with no fatalities countrywide that I’m aware of.

In our case its not so much kids have fatalities, its the fact they can spread it

Unfortunately it’s gonna spread. I know people don’t want to hear that kind of news, but even my doctor said it. Eventually we will develop herd immunity and Covid will be the new flu in 20 years. It’s how all viruses have operated.

I agree with your doctor. It is going to do what viruses do, mutate and try and survive and spread

Wisconsin is still pretty much open, but a lot of businesses remain at half capacity. It’s so hard to know what the “right” or “most accurate” info is. Are numbers going up? Going down? Masks yes? Masks no?
No one knows.
We are 12 months in to the “2 months to flatten the curve”.
I am hopeful for a good outcome with Texas and that it sets a (positive) standard for the rest of the country to open back up! Big events are still being cancelled throughout all of 2021, and there is so much conflicting yes/no/maybe reports on both ends that it’s enough to make anybody crazy!

We have got numbers goign down at the moment, but schools are open as of Monday, so chances are they will start to go up again. Lots of big events that need live audiences are not doing this year. Its just a wait and see game now

No lockdowns in Madison, Wisconsin. But masks still required at businesses. Most kids are in e-school.
