Where in the World: Kosovo

Eastern Europe did not go well for me, I missed off 8 countries altogether, so how do I choose which one to do, well first I check to see who has visited me and 2 haven’t Monternegro and Kosovo. Which one do I go for, the one that comes first in the alphabet, why do I choose countries that haven’t visited me, rather than a country which pops over often? That is purely for selfish reasons, if I write about their country, then they might come and visit and its a tick off my map. But I have no doubt, I will be coming back to all of the countries, states and terrorities I have either moved or forgotten about it months to come.

Lets see what I can find out about Kosavo

  1. Kosovo is landlocked and surrounded by Albania, North Macedonia, Monternegro and Serbia
  2. Kosovo is the 2nd youngest country in the world
  3. Its the smallest Balkin nation and 40% of it is covered in forest
  4. More than 70% of its population is under 35
  5. Its official languages are  Albanian, Serbian
  6. Kosovo means field of blackbirds in Serbian
  7. It has an abudence of limestone caves
  8. The Kosovo War happened between 1998 and 1999 and is the reason for 10,000 deaths
  9. It is one of the few countries in the world, which has its country on the flag
  10. Here is one of their traditional songs

Here is to never forgetting Kosovo, we are moving contients next week and are on to Africa. You can have a look at all my attempts here
