Does it work?

Part of my cleaning schedule is to open all the windows in my flat, living with 2 males, 2 cats and a dog, I can imagine that at times my flat smells.

So no matter how cold it is, those windows get opened for at least 20 minutes, however I have no idea whether this makes my place smell better.

My other half doesn’t really like the chemical smell of the air fresheners, I have tried most of them and he is still not keen, but on occassion he does just have a face on.

Do you open your windows?

Yes, when ever we can. If we can’t open them due to the Texas weather, we use ceiling fans to circulate the air. My better half has to feel the air moving somehow. Otherwise it is too stuffy.

We do now… But not during winter. Windows were created to keep winter out, and you don’t want to give it any chance to come in! Winter is sneaky, and it will get in if it gets a chance. And then people get cold, and electricity bills blow out of proportions, and it sucks. That’s why I love spring so much… That first day when we can open all the windows might be my favorite of the year… I mean, second, after your birthday, of course! 😉

Oh, and by the way… I am on a 286-day streak! And the excitement doesn’t seem to wear out! LOL

Not usually. Occasionally, but I am too afraid of insects flying in through the windows!

  5. Very healthy to open the windows a short spell, even in winter and let the clean air in. My partner’s grandma alway did and she lived to 92.

  6. I love having my windows open. I love sleeping with my windows open and I believe it totally makes things smell better. 🙂
