When I worked in retail, the figures where something like 1 in 3 complain but only 1 in 20 will say something nice

Sounds about right. If I’m not happy, I will complain but discretely. If I’m delighted, I’ll ring/email/leave great review.

No. Businesses don’t usually ask for feedback from customers, but phone inquiries, from water and credit card companies like , questions about billing statements do ask for feedback. I always give a glowing feedbak, all 10 out of 10. LOL

They ask for a rating from 1 to 10 , with 10 as best. There was one though where I gave a 5/10. I detected a sound of “impatience ” in her voice.

Yes, especially to our wonderful librarians who have been packaging our requested books and putting them outside for us to grab. Couldn’t have made it through without them. I’ve written them several times to tell them.
