For those that are unaware, we are classed as low earners, especially recently when my PIP stopped, so money is tight for us, but we can afford the odd treat, so its not as bad as it has been. But we are on a strict budget, so while Monkey has got everything he always needs in terms of clothes, shoes (alot of that is my sister who gives us her son’s old clothes) and a few treats like cakes, myself and my partner don’t get much in the way of clothes, unless we are desperate.
But lets get onto shoes, I have two pairs of trainers
I love my sketchers, as you can tell they are old and with holes in them, and I get wet feet when wearing them, its rare I wear them though, as I don’t like wet feet
These are my other pair, unlike my sketchers they were about a tenner and lasted about 6 months, yeah they look alright on the top
Check the bottom, you know what this means? Yep wet feet and I live in England where it rains a lot. So a decision was made, to save up and buy some new shoes
Look at my new shoes, no holes and no wet feet, so very pretty
Ours is not a rare story unfortunatly, parents go without so the children can have their stuff, most people don’t really consider shoes when they give to charity but you have no idea how great it is to have a pair of shoes that don’t have holes in them.
I just gave a bag of shoes to the charity shop. I donate and shop at charity shops and have found some great things there. You need good shoes as your feet are important. The new runners look great!

They are really comfy, we got them on offer, I had been waiting a while to get them on some sort of offer as I love sketchers but they are very expensive

Many charity bags say no shoes…..

I know and its very frustrating, even when you take them into charity shops, they say no. I have found woman centers often will take kid shoes, but I struggle with adult shoes,
