Its hot, far too hot, now before anyone says well its a lot hotter in XYZ. Where I live in England, we are not built for heat or snow. Which is why when we see a snowflake, we panic, shut everything down and go and hide.
Its the same with the heat, our houses are built to keep heat in, and as I have found out over the last few days, they do an excellent job of that. We don’t have air conditioning, we have open all the windows and pray for a breeze.
Its going to break in the next few days, so hopefully not that much longer, however it has meant that I have struggled to do, well anything, other than lie on the sofa or on my bed.
Today it is a wee bit cooler, so I am going to have a run around and get things clean and then hopefully myself and Monkey will go pokehunting in the late afternoon, when it is really cool. We have managed to get him out a few times, but mainly in the late afternoons.
Things should start to go back to normal soon, maybe, it depends on what the weather does.
It’sll rain soon I’m sure and then you can come out again π

I think it will, it’s one of those years where it can’t be hot for long without a downpour.

Sorry the heat is unbearable. When I lived in Texas without air conditioning, I owned an oscillating fan which kept me cool so I could sleep.

We can’t have a fan, the dog doesn’t like it and the cats attack it. My animals are not very clever at time

Darn, fans are noisy, and obviously up to no good. ; )

My cats swipe it, I had to put them in the bathroom, so I can hoover the flat, the dog moves himself

I visited in the middle of summer a few times, and I was so chilly my toes turned blue. And my friends visited me from the UK in the middle of summer here, and one unfortunately suffered a bit of heat stroke. May the force be with you. Our bodies don’t like surprises!
