I hope its just me

I have my PIP tribunal on Wednesday at 2pm, its a video link one, so I can do it from my bed. This solved a lot of problems for me, including getting my partner to take the day off and finding childcare for Monkey after school. With the video link, if it runs longer than I would like, my partner can disappear from work for half an hour or so, go pick Monkey up, drop him off here, then go back to work. Plans were put in place, however I hadn’t recieved anything from them via email and was getting a bit worried, so I called them.

Turns out what has happened is on their system, its a face to face tribunal, no where near me, There is no way that is going to happen, usually, let alone with such late notice.

The problem is, if I hadn’t checked, I would have been waiting for the link, the appeal would have gone ahead without any input from me, and chances are I would have been turned down, that is still a high chance with my input, but I can explain things, that they can’t see from the paperwork and that is a worry.

Is this a new way for the government to try and screw people? So far I have assumed its just me and lets keep our fingers crossed that it was just some sort of system error

  1. It takes hours of effort to get anything done here. Insurance, government offices all you get is automated and if you’re lucky a call back.
