I got through to the DWP about my PIP again today, there systems has been updated, so they told me what I was entitiled to, the backpay and how long it is going to last.
Firstly, let me say, no one is awarded a lifetime award, I think the maximum is 10 years, which I would never expect. But even I was a bit confused about the fact that I have been awarded PIP till January 2022. Yep 3 months, although if you look at it from the other point of view, the whole point of the tribunal is that they are saying, you are entitled to it, you should have been awarded it back when you had the assessment (in my case Febuary) so technically they have awarded me a year.
I assume because they think I am doing so well, the doctor has put me on new drugs, so I have to see how they work out, know how long they like to check, yep 3 months. Would you also like to know when the DWP start sending out the letters to say, your award is ending, you need to reply, 14 weeks before your end date.
So I am looking forward to getting the paperwork, saying I have been awarded and then the paperwork saying I have to reapply. Fun, fun, fun.
I am not sure if I am going to leave it this time, unfortunatly I might have some physical problems to deal with, as I have found a lump, so I am now waiting for referal for that, but I think depending on what happens with that, will depend on how much my mental health is going to take a knocking, but with the NHS as it is, I am not sure when I am going to get to see someone. The doctor has referred me to something called the 2 week wait, I am still waiting for someone to get back to me, so I need to chase that
