26th, 27th, 28th December

I grouped these altogether to bring people up to date.

First off, I am chuffed how my mental health has held up, this is a combination of everything being on time, sort of, not going anywhere and just a fun time had.

26th my stepson came round, I always forget he is not five, so I am always suprised when this strapping tall teenager walks into my flat, he helped Monkey start building the big lego set and generally played with him, tbh I wish we had him on another day that was not boxing day, when most shops are closed, added with a Sunday when the rest of the shops are closed and the weather was miserable. But I think all the boys had fun, I heard laughing a few times. and he is very good with Monkey, although at the age gap they are he must find some (or all) of the stuff Monkey is into boring, he hides it well.

Between myself and my partner we tag teamed the washing up, doing a bit at a time.

On the 27th it was the great big clean up, I am a grinch and normally will take the decorations down as soon as the clock strikes midnight on the 26th, this year I left them up for my stepson and so we could have a bit of Christmas cheer, I managed to clear up the lounge and take the decorations, 4 rubbish bags later, and 3 boxes of decs back into our storage cupboard, the lounge looks normal again, well it has lego still all over the place.

28th is a chill day for us, my partner is still off work, so we are going to go to the supermarket and buy food, as having them all here seems to empty my fridge, also the walk will apparently be good for all of us. I am hoping the weather improves on the 29th so I can Monkey to the new playground. But looking outside now, I am doubtful.
