I have had a think about what I know about this country, I think it maybe famous for safaris but I am not sure, lets see if I am right

  1. Botswana is a landlocked country, it is boarded by South Africa to the south and southeast, Namibia to the west and north, Zimbabew to the north east. It is connected to Zambia by the Kazungula Bridge, over the Zambezi River.
  2. Mopane worms are a delicacy here, despite its name it is a caterpillar
  3. The San People in Botswana are considered to be the oldest inhabitants in the world, they have probably lived in this part of the world for about 22,000 years
  4. I was correct that Botswana is famed for its safari’s but the government do a high quality/low impact, which means you will pay a fortune but it will be an experience to remember
  5. While it is a big country area wise, it only has 2,02 million people making it one of the sparcely populated countries in the world
  6. They produce most of the diamonds in Africa and 2nd in the world
  7. Water is so valued here, that the currency is named after rain. Pula
  8. It is possible to find the big five here lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. It has the largest population of elephants, but the wildlife here is massive. up to 500 different mammals, 593 different bird speices, 150 reptiles, over 800 insects or spiders and more than 3,100 different types of plants
  9. In around 1830, a man’s body was dug up, stuffed and then displayed in Spain. In 2000 he was bought back and burried in Botswana
  10. Enjoy some song and dance from this country
