I chose my name for my blog with the utmost care. I have mental health problems, I think I have always had them, its just now that I am starting to put labels on them. I hate the term label, because with mental health not one person is the same, but it makes the medical community feel better. I enjoy ย being quirky most of the time, its just the 10% of the time which I dislike.

I started this blog to make people aware of the challanges I have faced and my continuing disbelief in how a benefit system treats those who are in desperate need. Please feel free to follow me, or even if you want to reblog, go right ahead.

I can be sarcastic, which is hard to convey (although I do give it a damn good try) I also try and put in a bit of humour because if I don’t laugh then I would probably end up in a looney bin.

When I started this I didn’t share my name, but since I originally wrote the about page, people have asked, so my name is Trina

Extra update, want to know who is who then read this

I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as I have done writing it so far

    Hi Trina dear,

I like the content of your blog and have nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Here’s the link: https://comeinsitdown.wordpress.com/2016/10/21/versatile-blogger-award/

Your participation is totally voluntary, you don’t have to accept the nomination. Should you decide not to take part, I will completely understand that and won’t be offended.

I however will appreciate it if you chose to accept it; I see the nomination process as a way to promote my fellow bloggers work across the board and to spread the word.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Nice blog name.
Every one is crazy in their own unique way. So, it goes without saying ‘be crazy for being crazy’.

    Happy writing!

Hey there, I just came across your blog. Iโ€™m also from the U.K. and have mental health issues (OCD, depression, anxiety). The benefits system (and in some areas the mental health system) is bloody awful…really difficult to navigate and not at all kind or supportive. So I hear ya! Anyway, Iโ€™m looking forward to reading more of your blog. Mine is http://MonkeyMinds.blog . X

  21. Hi there, Trina! I think it’s great you choose to spread word about mental health issues. We do need to get the conversation going about this, and I could see your blog has been contributing so much to that end. Kudos!

Thanks Trina for your courage to speak about your mental illness.
Slowly, I believe people are beginning to realise that mental health issues need more attention and more funding. At the moment the pressures of modern living have reached unhealthy levels not just for adults but for children too trying to live expectations of others.

Excellent sharing. I dislike labels as well. We all have varying types of mental, physical and spiritual challenges and it’s healthy to share with one another. No one should be isolated. Thanks.

Beautiful and highly informative blog. In our country mental illness is considered a social stigma and people are denied opportunities because of that, i find it refreshing to see you create awareness and it is normal to live with mentail illness and it is good to be crazy sometimes…i totally agree!

I really enjoyed browsing through your mental health blog lists! As I have just started out in the blogging community I have found them super useful in finding relatable blogs. I was wondering if you had any that were your personal favorites or if you ever have specialized lists?

    Liked by 1 person

    • Hey and welcome to the blogging community. I don’t really have a favourite, I have found, the bloggers I most relate to are the the ones who converse with me, I try and keep the lists upto date and I do try and split them to general terms, but I don’t go much deeper than that. If you have any questions, or I haven’t answered well, then just let me know ๐Ÿ™‚
