I was born in Northern Illinois and I became a vegetarian at age 14 because I grew up on a farm.

I take it, it was a meat farm?

It was a hobby farm, where my parents raised animals for our own consumption. I helped pluck our own chickens and rode along to the processing facility with our yearly cow. I got attached to each animal we had and named them all, much to my parents’ chagrin.

I bet, the one and only thing I know about raising animals for food is never name them. It sounds like you were already on your way to being a vegetarian

Regardless of how much I know, I shall never know enough. I’ve saved 1% for the possibility that I’m wrong. Maybe there’s something that I cannot see. Thus, I’ve reserved 1% for the possibility that God exist. Maybe in some form that’s different from all the forms we humans can possibly imagine.
I do not want to empower my reasons and theories to push me to such an extent that I become overconfident. Am I making sense to you?

Hmmmm random fact. Let’s see. I had book reviews published in military history magazines while I was in grad school. I think I’ve told like three people on earth before now… 🙂

I think grad school is called collage here (ages 16-18?) but that is amazing

I am back where I grew up after seeing most of the U.S. and some of Europe for the past 20 years. When I was three, I used to tell my mom all about my life “before I was a baby in her belly.” So reincarnation may be real…

oh wow, I have always been interested in reincarnation, so I do like hearing stories and kids especially do tend to tell those sort of stories. I am guessing its along the same lines as to why children are meant to be able to see ghosts

I think so too – probably that we are young enough to remember our past lives before the memories leave to make space for this life.
