I am not an amazing cook, but I try. I do all the right things and cook from scratch. (I have chicken dippers and fishfingers for emergency, I am good not that good)
I have been doing noodle soups for lunch a few times now, mixing with flavours to try and get something that my family love
Yesterday for dinner, for the first time I did chicken noodle soup
I am going to say it doesn’t look as nice there as it tasted, also my wall needs a clean.
However, it was lovely. It had chicken, ginger, noodles, mushroom and a scotch bonnet chilli. Plus I added soy sauce and seasoning.
We all had seconds
I love homemade chicken noodle soup. I use chicken with stock, celery, carrots, and salt. Very plain, but yum. I bet mushrooms would be awesome in it. Hmm.

I used shiitake mushrooms, not sure if that would make a massive difference

I’ll have to check that out. I do love love homemade chicken soup. You can freeze the leftovers (at least my recipe, maybe yours?)
in small individual containers for those times you don’t feel like cooking. Yum.

we have frozen it, but I am not sure how it is going to come out once defrosted, I am not sure the stock is good for freezing

You can freeze plain chicken stock. I do it all the time. Going to get my chicken out of the freezer now. Got to boil it for tomorrow’s dressing.

it was stock from a packet which is why I am not sure of it,

Yes, with husband’s family. Then another gathering with our sons, their wives, grand girls, and both our fathers.
I plan on enjoying the meals (half-portions) but I will focus on thankfulness and family more than the food.

I hope you have a great time (I am in the UK so don’t do Thanksgiving)

But you can still focus on Thankfulness – LOL! Couldn’t resist.
I’m so grateful for the healing that God has graciously granted me. In my 60’s, after 41 years of failed diets, He delivered me of 92 pounds. Wow! That amazes me!
And I’m wearing size 10 pants tomorrow ( at the beginning of this, I wore size 18-20). Wow! I’m so amazed and grateful.
😀You have a victorious day tomorrow. I plan to. It won’t be a day of gorging and shame like in the past.

I’m really reassured by your splatters on the wall and around the pot, and that you have chicken dippers on hand for the odd occasion 😀

No matter how hard I clean that wall stays the same, the splatters on the stove are new 😉
I tried doing my own chicken dippers, but I made the mistake of introducing my son to Macdonalds first

Every week, I am not sure why I bother anymore. Maybe it is part of the decoration 😉

Oh dear! I tried to comment and it flopped! Bravo on your cooking soup! I was so intimidated the first time I made chicken soup. I love your seasoning!
