I am, of course, talking about Brexit.
MPs have been voting on it for 2 days now, so far, they didn’t like the deal they were offered, they refuse to leave without no deal and this all has to be sorted in about 2 weeks.
The PM really has to make one decision and that is which half of the population she thinks is not going to riot, we can either keep going ahead with it, which the MPs are not happy with or cancel it, which guess what? MPs won’t be happy with.
One choice means everyone who still thinks we should remain are going to be happy, it does mean that everyone who voted leave are not going to be happy.
Or
Make those that voted leave happy, making those that want to remain unhappy.
If those votes had been further apart, this might not of been difficult, but it basically game down to just over 50% voting to leave and just under 50% voting to remain.
My prediction is no one is going to be happy, the UK will be broken up and Teresa May is going to resign in the next 3 months, hopefully taking the majority of her cabinet with her.
It’s all a muddle.
But at least not a catastrophe like in the US.

I think the main problem is that if it continues going ahead Scotland will leave, Northern Ireland is in real danger as well.
What I am hoping is this is a wake call for the British people that we cannot trust our MPs

IMHO they think of the people of Britain rather than their popularity and problem solved. But I’ve got no skin in the game…. -R
