I got a letter today, telling me my PIP (disability benefit) is going up by £1.23 a month and it got me thinking, which lets face it, is never a good thing.
Here are just a few things I have recently discovered are going up
Council tax: £40 a month
Gas: £10 a month
Electric: £10 a month
Water £9 a month
TV Licence £1.50 a month
National minimum wage for over 25 working 40 hours a week £60.80 a month
MP Pay rises £174 a month
And this doesn’t cover the cost of food going up, petrol, childcare all of those are set to go up.
I see so many people now struggling to survive let alone live, its not becoming possible anymore.
We are going to see more and more people drop below the breadline and I sit and watch the house of commons arguing over Brexit, which is probably never going to happen, but has wasted £40bn. That amount of money is stupid, imagine what we as a country could do with that amount of money, rather than watch a bunch of overgrown children jeer and yell at each other every evening. They even have to have a nanny to yell order at them every 2 minutes.
1.23, is that for an extra pack of chewing gum per month? ; ) Rebecca

The whole thing seems wrong, I am not sure how people are expected to survive on minimum wage and the thing is, you are always going to need people to do those type of jobs

It is a real insult especially when you see how much politicians actually get paid and then they come out with gems such as well I can live on that. Really give it a go
